Explore Riviera is the name of this site. The private chauffeur service is operated by that sole trader, which may also trade under a different business name. Hosting is provided by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States.

The suffix “EI” is part of the legal name. French law requires a sole trader to carry it on business documents (article R526-27 of the code de commerce).
The registered office is published because French law requires it. It is not a customer address: you are picked up at the point you give when booking.
2. Explore Riviera is the name of this site
Explore Riviera names the service. It does not name a company. There is no limited company behind it: the party that contracts with you, takes your payment and answers for the journey is the sole trader Ilan CHALEF EI, identified above.
That is the name on your receipt, on the bank entry and on any legally binding correspondence. The wording on your card statement may therefore differ from the name of this website.
3. Editorial manager
The editorial manager, directeur de la publication under French law, is Ilan Chalef, as the operator of the publishing business.
Requests concerning the content of this site, corrections and rights of reply go to contact@exploreriviera.com, or by post to the registered office in section 1.
4. Hosting
- Host: Vercel Inc.
- Address: 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States
- Support: https://vercel.com/help
Vercel Inc. publishes no support telephone number; requests go through the channel above. Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which is what covers the hosting of personal data outside the European Union. Details are on the Privacy page.
5. Activity and regulatory framework
The activity is private hire passenger transport by chauffeur-driven car, known in France as voiture de transport avec chauffeur (VTC) and governed by articles L3120-1 and following of the French code des transports.
The business is entered on the national register of VTC operators held by the French transport ministry, as required by article L3122-3 of the code des transports. The driver holds the professional card that activity requires.
The register entry number is not published on this site. Paired with a real company name, such numbers are routinely reused to build fake transport listings in the name of genuine operators. No provision in force requires publishing it on a website. The register of operators is public and lets anyone confirm the entry from the business name. The number is also given on written request.
We are not a taxi service and we do not run scheduled shared transport. We do not pick up in the street and we do not wait for passengers on public roads: every journey is booked in advance.
6. Professional liability insurance
The professional liability cover, the insurer’s contact details and the geographical scope of the policy are supplied on written request to contact@exploreriviera.com.
The policy number is not published, for the same reason as the register entry number. No provision requires it. It is supplied on written request, and to anyone with a claim to make.
7. Intellectual property
The text, the page structure, the published fare grid, the visual identity and the ER monogram belong to the publisher and are protected by French intellectual property law.
Reproducing, adapting or distributing them, in whole or in part and on any medium, requires prior written permission. Short quotation with a credit and a link back to the source page remains free.
Landscape and location photographs come from royalty-free image libraries and are used under their respective licences.
8. Links and third-party content
This site links to outside services, in particular our Google business listing, WhatsApp messaging and the payment page of our provider Stripe.
Those services are run by third parties, under their own terms and their own privacy policies. We control neither their content nor their operation, and we cannot be held liable for them.
9. Personal data and trackers
How this site processes personal data is set out on the Privacy page. The controller is the sole trader identified in section 1.
Trackers written to or read from your device, what they are for and how long they last are listed on the Cookies page. As at the update date shown at the top of this page, this site sets no analytics tracker at all.
10. Complaints and mediation
Complaints go first to contact@exploreriviera.com, or by post to the registered office. We reply within five working days.
If that does not settle the matter, you may refer it free of charge to a consumer mediator. That right comes from article L612-1 of the French code de la consommation, under which every consumer is entitled to free recourse to a consumer mediator to settle a dispute with a trader. Article L616-1 of the same code does not create the right: it obliges the trader to give you the mediator’s details. Both are cited here, and it is the first that opens the route to you.
The competent mediator’s details are supplied on written request to contact@exploreriviera.com.
Sections 23 and 24 of the Terms of sale set out the complaint and mediation process in full.
11. Provisions applied
This page meets the identification duties set out in article 1-1 of French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, as amended by law no. 2024-449 of 21 May 2024. It also applies:
- articles L111-1 and L111-2 of the code de la consommation, and article R111-2, on pre-contractual information to consumers;
- article R526-27 of the code de commerce, on the legal name of a sole trader;
- articles L3120-1 and L3122-3 of the code des transports, on the framework of the activity;
- articles L612-1 and L616-1 of the code de la consommation, the first for the right to free recourse to a mediator, the second for the duty to give you that mediator’s details.
