A peninsula with no public link from the terminals
Twenty-one kilometres, thirty minutes: one of the shortest runs on the grid, and one of the few where the public alternative simply does not exist. The airport transport page lists its intercity coaches, and the list is closed: 80 to Monaco and Menton, 81 to Cannes, 82 to Antibes and Vallauris, then 90, 51 and 83 or 670. Nothing comes down onto the peninsula.
That leaves the train as far as Beaulieu-sur-Mer, and a last kilometre to solve some other way. With luggage, the equation closes itself.
The route is the same in both directions: the Basse Corniche D6098, along the Promenade des Anglais, through Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer. It is a road of traffic lights and tight bends, not a fast one. Thirty minutes is a working-day figure, not an August beach-day one.
Vehicle size is a municipal matter here
This is the part few sites know, and the town writes it down. On municipal roads, a vehicle whose gross laden weight exceeds the posted tonnage needs a waiver, requested at the town hall on a dedicated form. The same page flags size restrictions, on width or on length.
In practice: choosing between a saloon and a van is not only about suitcases. It is about the address. A villa reached by a narrow lane is not handled like a seafront address, and that is settled at booking rather than at the gate.
The town also publishes a general traffic and parking order, endorsed by the prefecture. The document exists and is public. It is distributed as a scan that no automatic reader can open, so we do not paraphrase its contents.
Where the car stops, and when parking is charged
The town hall publishes its car park list: Centenaire, on place du Centenaire, with its covered structure; Cros dei Pin, at the beach of the same name; Passable beach; the Lido; the Saint-Hospice chapel. No capacity, no tariff and no height limit appear on that page, so we publish none.
What is dated is dated clearly: on-street parking becomes chargeable again on 1 May 2026 and free again from 1 October. For a pick-up that involves waiting, that switch changes the preparation. It does not change the fare, which is fixed when you book.
