The price you quote is already fixed
A concierge who says “let me confirm the price later” has already lost half the request. That is where this partnership starts: the amount is calculated and confirmed before you pass it on, tolls and parking included, and it does not move on the day.
Everything else follows. The net rate leaves you in charge of your margin and your invoice. The commission model keeps the published price and pays you a share. Both exist because properties work differently, and neither is presented as the better one.
Above 400 EUR or 250 kilometres the automatic calculation deliberately stops and switches to a quotation, answered within the hour. That is a guard against an absurd price, not a way of buying time.
What the other channels do, and where they stop
A taxi rank solves the simple case, on the spot, with no booking. It cannot quote in advance, and a meter is not something you can compare.
A ride-hailing platform gives a price that often moves with the hour and the demand, and assigns a car a few minutes before pick-up. For a 5 am departure to an early flight, or for a guest who should be met with a name board, that model does not hold.
Then there is rail and coach, which are serious up to a point and not beyond it: the last coach from Cannes to the airport leaves at 7.50 pm, the Monaco one around 8.10 pm. After that there is no public option left to offer a guest, in July or in January.
The detail that decides it, planeside
At Nice, business aviation has its own terminal. Without clearance, a car waits in the public car park and the passenger walks or takes the handler’s shuttle. With clearance, the car is positioned at the aircraft and the distance between cabin door and car door is a few metres.
That is the kind of difference a partner measures once and never forgets. It appears on no rate card, and it is exactly what builds a concierge desk’s standing with a passenger in a hurry.
