Boulevard de la Pinède is not a road you drive on
The town publishes its list of pedestrian zones, and two streets appear there under a permanent regime: rue Dautheville and boulevard de la Pinède. Deliveries are tolerated from 6 am to 10 am, and nothing else.
That boulevard is the one running alongside the pinède Gould, which is exactly the address visitors give when they come for a concert. A driver who takes the address at face value ends up at a closed perimeter with luggage in the boot.
So the rule belongs in the planning, not in the last turn: passengers are set down at the edge and the final metres are walked. Twenty-four kilometres from the airport, twenty-eight minutes quoted, then a short walk.
Seven in the evening: the summer perimeter closes
The second arrangement is seasonal and written down. Rue du Maréchal Joffre and boulevard Wilson become a temporary pedestrian area from 14 June to 2 September, between 7 pm and 6 am. The same regime then returns on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 6 September to 14 October.
Which means that between mid-June and mid-October, an evening arrival is not planned like an afternoon one. The route does not change; the place the car may stop does. Dinner booked for 8.30 pm and lunch booked for 12.30 pm do not share a drop-off point.
The corollary fits in one line, and it holds across the resort: give the exact address and the exact time when you book. It is the pair, never one alone, that decides where the car stops.
Two car parks, two logics: the congress hall and the marina
The town publishes two useful capacities, and they serve different passengers.
The Palais des Congrès car park, chemin des Sables, holds 376 spaces. It lies outside the permanent pedestrian perimeter, so it is reachable by car at any hour: it is the anchor point for a conference day or a corporate event.
The Port Gallice car park, boulevard Édouard Baudoin, lists 500 spaces. It is the largest published capacity in the resort and the landmark to remember on the harbour side, especially when boarding implies several trips with the bags.
One trade detail to close. In this commune the drop-off point is not decided at the barrier. It is decided with the pedestrian-area calendar in hand, before the car leaves. That is the difference between a prepared run and an improvised one.
