Forty-five minutes against ninety
Forty kilometres separate Terminal 2 from Menton, and the grid holds forty-five minutes. The regional coach covers the same ground in one hour thirty: departure 08:30, arrival at the bus station 10:00 on the current timetable. A ticket costs €21.40 bought in advance.
The three-quarter-hour gap is not about speed, it is about stops. The line serves Monaco at Place d’Armes, Sainte-Dévote, the Casino, the Grimaldi Forum and Larvotto before carrying on. That is a good regional service. It is not a door-to-door one, and you carry your own luggage.
The return leg is the real constraint
Menton to Nice is a shorter day than people assume. First departure 06:05, arriving at Terminal 2 at 07:12. Last departure 19:40, arriving 20:48. Plenty of comparisons claim the coach runs until 22:00 in this direction. It does not: 22:00 is the last departure from the airport.
The consequence is simple. A 21:00 flight out of Nice cannot be reached by coach from Menton. Neither can a 07:00 flight, unless you accept the single 06:05 run and no margin at all. That is where a booked car belongs, at a chosen hour, with the cases in the boot.
One caveat printed on the same timetable: the service is direct to Monaco only if nobody alights at Menton or Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. The advertised duration is a floor, not a promise.
February, the Biovès gardens and the Promenade du Soleil
The town announces its 2027 Lemon Festival from 13 to 28 February, on the theme Douce France. Fifteen days during which the exhibition fills the Biovès gardens and the parades run along the Promenade du Soleil, night parades included.
What we will not tell you is which exact street is closed, and for how long. The town does not publish that on its event pages, and inventing it would send a client to the wrong place. Our rule is safer: the drop-off is set back from the two known areas, and the exact point is confirmed the day before. The fare does not change because of it.
