Five minutes at the entrance, and no more
The town hall created a kiss and ride drop-off zone at the village entrance and caps stopping there at five minutes. A neighbouring blue zone extends that to twenty. Those two figures are enough to plan an arrival: unload, walk the client to the edge of the pedestrian area, and take the vehicle back down to park.
This is not a comfort detail. It is what separates a clean arrival from one where the driver hunts for a space while the client waits with the cases. We say so before the job, not during it.
The same municipal page states that access to the historic village and parking outside it are regulated. We stick to what the town publishes and add no rule we have not read ourselves.
One metre ninety on level 1
This is the figure that decides the vehicle, and it is rarely written down. The Sainte-Claire underground car park holds 469 spaces over ten levels, open around the clock, with 1.90 m of headroom on level 1. A tall family van does not go down there.
The consequence is concrete: for four people and six bags, the van stays on the surface and the whole manoeuvre changes. For two people, a saloon goes everywhere. So the choice follows the geometry of the structure as much as the passenger count, and it is better settled at booking.
Around it, the capacities published by the town hall are modest: 78 spaces on route des Serres, 28 on chemin des Gardettes, 20 on montée des Trious, 14 on route de Vence. On a July afternoon those numbers read quickly. On-street parking is free after 19:00; the daytime price lists differ between two official pages, so we publish neither.
Twenty kilometres, and the last bend
Twenty kilometres and twenty-eight minutes from Terminal 2: short, and simple as far as the outskirts. It is the last few hundred metres that require knowing where you are going, between the parking pockets on route des Serres, montée des Trious and the village entrance.
Coaches park on chemin des Trious, four hundred metres away, around fifteen bays at €80 a day. That is useful for a group, not for a saloon. A client staying inside the walls falls under a different regime from a day visitor: we confirm the address and the stopping point the day before.
