The last coach to the airport leaves at 7.40 pm
This is the figure comparisons forget. The official line 80 timetable puts the last departure from the bus station at 7.40 pm towards the airport. In the other direction, departures spread from 8.30 am to 10 pm. The window is not symmetrical, and it is the return leg that fails.
The train holds on longer: the airport quotes a service every fifteen minutes on weekdays from 5.50 am to 10 pm, then every thirty minutes until 11.30 pm, with trains extended to 2 am on Sunday mornings.
So the honest arbitration is short. A light daytime trip is well served by rail, for a few euros. An early flight, a weekday dinner that runs late, a group with suitcases: the coach has gone, and the train adds a change and a walk. That is precisely where a booked car earns its keep, door to door over 40 kilometres, tolls and parking included.
Two metres is the most generous ceiling in town
The town publishes the headroom of its car parks, and the table reads quickly. Sablettes, 452 spaces, and the Hôtel de Ville, 236 spaces, top out at 2.00 m. The station car park, 340 spaces, and George V, 84 spaces, stop at 1.90 m. Saint-Roch, 210 spaces, drops to 1.80 m. The Bastion is reserved for permit holders.
In other words, the best clearance available in the commune is two metres. A touring van sits at or above that. The consequence is mechanical: with seven passengers and luggage, the drop-off happens at street level, never by driving down into a structure.
At street level the town lists roughly 1,250 spaces in winter and 1,550 in summer. The capacity is there; the height is not, and height is what decides the vehicle.

The Lemon Festival imposes its own calendar, and that calendar is published. The 2027 edition runs from 13 to 28 February. Organisers advise being on site before 11 am for Sunday parades and before 6 pm for Thursday night parades.
One sentence from their page outweighs the rest: no entry is possible fifteen minutes after a parade begins. That is not advice, it is a door closing.
What it means for a transfer: the meeting time is not negotiated with the passenger, it is calculated backwards from the parade. A booking cut too fine turns a clean transfer into a missed evening, and no fixed fare buys that back.
