The bus runs twice a day
The tourist office guide prints the timetable for route 92: Nice Les Arboras at 10.25, resort at 12.25, then 17.10 for 19.10. Downhill, 8.00 and 14.50. Two runs up, two runs down, nothing in between.
That matters more than it looks. The first bus lands at a quarter past midday. A flight at 9.00 has no connection before the afternoon, and a departure after 15.30 has none at all. The bus is a fair answer for a week-long stay with no timing constraint. It is not an answer for a morning flight or for a last day on the slopes.
Thirty minutes, disc on the windscreen
Since 1 October 2025 the town hall has run thirteen short-stay bays, spread across rue du Chastillon, rue du Hameau, impasse du Pignals, rue Mercière and avenue du Mercantour. Free parking for thirty minutes maximum, 9.00 to 21.00, every day.
The system is not automatic. The municipal text requires a regulation parking disc, clearly visible inside the windscreen. Missing or unreadable disc: 35 EUR. Overstay: 35 EUR. A driver unloading six bags and four ski carriers has half an hour, and needs that disc in the car.
What the GPS offers and winter does not
The same guide carries a plain warning: the Lombarde and Bonette passes are shut in winter. Routing software offers them anyway, because they shorten the distance on a map. Between December and April they shorten nothing.
The real route leaves the A8 at exit 51.1 Carros Mercantour, follows the RM 6202 bis then the RM 6202 towards Digne, and turns right onto the RM 2205 after some thirty kilometres. That is the Tinée valley, not a straight line.
One thing we do not promise: lift opening hours. No official resort page publishes them for the winter season, so we do not build a day plan on a figure we have not read.
