Nice Airport to Sophia Antipolis Transfer: €70

A chauffeur service from Nice airport to the Sophia Antipolis science park costs €70 in a saloon and €80 in a van. Allow 22 km and 25 minutes. No intercity coach line connects the terminals to the park.

Twenty-five minutes, and no direct line

Twenty-two kilometres from Terminal 2. On paper it is the shortest run on the grid to a place of work. In practice it is the one where the absence of a public alternative is starkest: the airport transport page lists its intercity coaches, and the science park is not on it.

For a 07:40 landing and a 09:00 meeting, that settles the question. There is no direct public plan B, and a train plus local bus chain adds two changes with cabin luggage and a laptop.

It is also why this run is often booked both ways on the same day, with the return timed to the end of the meeting rather than to a published departure.

The east arm of junction 44

The motorway operator describes junction 44 Antibes Est as a structure with three arms: an east arm towards the science park, a centre arm towards Antibes via the RD535, a west arm towards chemin des Trois Moulins. Taking the right one first time saves a full loop around the park’s local roads.

What you will not read here is a traffic count or a peak-hour journey time. Those figures circulate, they come from local association sites, and no official count was found. A delay quoted without a source is a promise nobody can keep.

What is verifiable is the weight of the site: the science park claims two thousand companies and thirty-seven thousand employees. The morning load is that of a whole town poured onto a ring of local roads.

July and August do not drive like March

The local bus network switches to summer timetables from 6 July to 30 August 2026. It is a simple, dated indicator of what the park becomes in summer: emptier, faster, with a peak hour that moves.

In practice, a departure time that works in August does not work in March, and the reverse is true as well. So we set the pick-up time by the season and by the meeting, not by an annual average. The Valbonne Sophia Antipolis bus station interchange stays the simplest public landmark for a meeting point when an address inside the park is hard to describe.

Local details and sources

No intercity coach line links the terminals to the science park: the official list published by the airport stops at lines 80, 81, 82, 90, 51 and 83 or 670.

Before you arrive

Your questions.

Can I reach Sophia Antipolis by coach from Nice airport?

No. The official list of intercity coaches leaving the terminals covers lines 80, 81, 82, 90, 51 and 83 or 670, and none of them serves the science park. For a morning meeting there is no direct public alternative.

Which motorway junction serves the science park?

A8 junction 44, Antibes Est. Vinci Autoroutes, which operates the section, describes it with three arms: one towards Sophia Antipolis, one towards Antibes via the RD535, one towards chemin des Trois Moulins.

Is traffic on the park the same in July as in March?

No. The Envibus network run by the local authority switches to summer timetables from 6 July to 30 August 2026: the park empties out, and the morning peak is nothing like a Tuesday in March.

Can the driver wait during a meeting on the park?

Yes, as hourly hire rather than a one-way transfer. That is the format for a seminar day, with an hourly rate separate from the transfer fare and an invoice made out to the company.
